In my essay I think the strongest part was my position on the bill. Although I feel that my examples were sufficient I think that maybe I should have look for different examples. Over all I am satisfies with the final draft of my essay. At first my position was in favor of the bill but as i researched and look though other opinion i realized i did not fully agree. My essay includes a personal experience and I also use Kean University and TCNJ in my essay. I found those examples good because i know people that have used the resources offered by the schools.

On April 10, 2008, The New York Times published
an article that caught my attention, This is Not a Test: Calibrate Your HDTV. This article caught my attention
because of all the propaganda that HDTV receives and how perfect the image is.
Some HDTV has to be calibrated in order for the colors on the screen appear accurately.
Calibrating the color can be very easy but it can also be expensive because
stores like Best Buy charge 300 dollars. There are other thing that can be done
in order to make the picture look better on the screen like making the room a
darker shade, buying curtains that will keep the light out, and positioning the
TV at eye level.I think that HDTV can be expensive and having to
fix the calibration on the TV can be a real head ace because people are going
to be spending more money. These situations can cause people to not buy HDTV
although they have a better picture.

The picture was from three years before the accident happened and it showed that the bridge had two steel connecting plates bent. If the authorities would have looked at these pictures carefully, the bridge would have been fixed and it would not have killed all those people. In New Jersey, many of the bridges that have been here for years are getting fixed to prevent a disaster like in Mississippi. Having a disaster like the one in Mississippi here would be very tragic especially after the event in Mississippi.

Facebook, the social network Website, is planning to as users what blood type they are. The reason for the question is because the need for blood of all types. Those who respond to the question will receive alerts though Facebook, email, text messaging, and by phone. Since Facebook opened up to more users on 2006, there has been an increase in users of the age of 35 and older. The internet is a powerful source in our society and the way to reach to different users that might not be interested in donating blood. I think it is a great idea even those phone calls and email can get annoying. Every blood there is around where I live I get a phone call and sometimes it just gets frustrating to tell them no.

The Adolescents' Online Privacy Protection Act deals with the protection of privacy of adolescents from ages between 13 through 17. This bill requires websites the consent of a parent or a legal guardian to acquire any information of the minor. This bills was modeled on the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection 1 Act, which applies only to children under the age of 13

I think bill is important due to the different incidents that have happened previous years. This bills can prevent pedophiles to get information of an adolescent with out the parents knowing about it. It is important for parents to look out for their child's safety as well that way the bill and the enforcement of the parents pays off. As a parent I would feel comfortable knowing that the government is enforcing this type of safeness.

In the New York Times a saw an article that caught my attention even though it was a short one. The article was about Brown University increasing their financial aid for students whose families have low incomes. Brown's Universities main goal is to give students with lower income a chance to have a higher education. The decision on increasing financial aid came after Evy League universities made it possible for students to study. Brown University is planning to increase their tuition as well as their financial aid. In my opinion giving students with lower incomes to attend their schools increases the changes of students taking the opportunities and becoming something in life.

In The New York Times, there was an article that seems interesting since it related to the Democratic Presidential candidates. Hilary Clinton accuses Obama of plagiarism in one of his speeches. Obama denied the charges of plagiarism because the guy he got some of his speech allowed him to use it. In fact Mr. Richard encouraged Obama to use his speech. I think that Obama should have given Mr. Richard credit for using his speech but it was not plagiarism because he was allowed to use the speech. I think Hilary Clinton is trying to get votes different ways and this was one of them.

Before the Winter Break I registered to vote in school. So when I got my registration card I was registered to Union instead of where I am from. I have no idea where i am suppose to vote. Later today I am going to call and try to go vote. I have to change the address I registered for because my homw town is not Union. Everything got complicated so now I have to go to the office and hopefully i dont have any problems fixing my address

My second semester at Kean has been great so far. I like all of my classes and can not wait until I start taking most of my major courses. One of the classes that I feel is going to be a challenge is Computer Science. Every Monday my class goes from 11:30 to 1:50 and although it is a long time I think my class is great. I enjoy working on Computers and I feel I am going to do good in my class. I also have a dance class at night because I needed a one credit course but I might drop it since with my Computer Science class I am going to have a lot of work. I rather take Health in the summer, but other than that I am enjoying my second semester.
