Blood drive though facebook
In the New York Times, an article caught my attention because it demonstrates that impact of the internet in our society. Facebook, the social network Website, is planning to as users what blood type they are. The reason for the question is because the need for blood of all types. Those who respond to the question will receive alerts though Facebook, email, text messaging, and by phone. Since Facebook opened up to more users on 2006, there has been an increase in users of the age of 35 and older. The internet is a powerful source in our society and the way to reach to different users that might not be interested in donating blood. I think it is a great idea even those phone calls and email can get annoying. Every blood there is around where I live I get a phone call and sometimes it just gets frustrating to tell them no.
