Adolescents' Online Privacy Protection Act.
The Adolescents' Online Privacy Protection Act deals with the protection of privacy of adolescents from ages between 13 through 17. This bill requires websites the consent of a parent or a legal guardian to acquire any information of the minor. This bills was modeled on the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection 1 Act, which applies only to children under the age of 13 I think bill is important due to the different incidents that have happened previous years. This bills can prevent pedophiles to get information of an adolescent with out the parents knowing about it. It is important for parents to look out for their child's safety as well that way the bill and the enforcement of the parents pays off. As a parent I would feel comfortable knowing that the government is enforcing this type of safeness.
